The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD)-New Jersey promotes the prevention and treatment of, and recovery from, alcoholism and drug addiction through advocacy and education. We support the recovery of alcoholics, drug addicted individuals and their families and work to reduce the stigma surrounding the diseases of alcoholism and drug addiction. The agency formulates public policy initiatives and advocates for legislation and regulations that are in keeping with a public health approach to the diseases of alcoholism and drug addiction. In our public information efforts, we underscore the fact that alcoholism and drug addiction are treatable and preventable illnesses. Behavioral Health & Substance Abuse Care Coordinators

NCADD-NJ has multiple clinical positions available located in Passaic, Monmouth, Gloucester and Hudson Counties. Duties include behavioral health/substance abuse assessments and treatment referrals. Candidates must have a Master’s and LPC, LCADC or LCSW or have made significant progress toward one of these licenses and have extensive applied knowledge of ASAM Criteria, 3rd Ed. and the DSM 5. Assistant Care Coordinators-Robbinsville & Newark

Duties include managing complex assessment schedules, processing referrals,answering phones, faxing, filing, coordinating services and performing administrative tasks in the regional office and in the field. Must be extremely detailed oriented and reliable. Experience is a must, preferably with a nonprofit. Employment experience with welfare and addictions is preferred. Care Coordinator Support Specialist-Union County

Responsibilities include assisting our clinical Care Coordinators with non-clinical administrative tasks and client linkages to services. These responsibilities include assisting with client eligibility issues, communication between the Care Coordinators and the county welfare agencies and other outreach efforts. Must possess excellent computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and familiarity with the internet. Ability to manage multiple assignments and efficiently prioritize tasks. Must have a thorough understanding and commitment to working with diverse clients including individuals with substance use and/or mental health disorders. Should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least two years in the field of addictions and/or mental health or a high school diploma, or equivalent, with a at least five years in the field of addictions and/or mental health.
