The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD)-New Jersey promotes the prevention and treatment of, and recovery from, alcoholism and drug addiction through advocacy and education. We support the recovery of alcoholics, drug addicted individuals and their families and work to reduce the stigma surrounding the diseases of alcoholism and drug addiction. The agency formulates public policy initiatives and advocates for legislation and regulations that are in keeping with a public health approach to the diseases of alcoholism and drug addiction. In our public information efforts, we underscore the fact that alcoholism and drug addiction are treatable and preventable illnesses. Behavioral Health & Substance Abuse Care Coordinators

NCADD-NJ has several positions available in Essex County as well as a Regional position based in Bergen County with some travel to other northern counties as needed. Duties include behavioral health/substance abuse assessments and treatment referrals. Candidates must have a Master’s and LPC, LCADC or LCSW or have made significant progress toward one of these licenses and have extensive applied knowledge of ASAM criteria and the DSM. Lead Care Coordinator

NCADD-NJ has supervisory position available in Essex County. Duties include clinical supervision of Care Coordinators and assisting in the oversight and management of the operations of the SAI/BHI in Essex County. May carry a caseload due to workload or staff shortage. Must hold a Master's degree in counseling, social work or related field. LPC, LCADC, CCS or LCSW required. Must have at least three years of direct clinical experience working with substance abuse and mental health disorders. Previous supervisory or program management experience required. Demonstarted leadership ability required. Candidates must also possess extensive applied knowledge of the ASAM and DSM V.
