The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD)-New Jersey promotes the prevention and treatment of, and recovery from, alcoholism and drug addiction through advocacy and education. We support the recovery of alcoholics, drug addicted individuals and their families and work to reduce the stigma surrounding the diseases of alcoholism and drug addiction. The agency formulates public policy initiatives and advocates for legislation and regulations that are in keeping with a public health approach to the diseases of alcoholism and drug addiction. In our public information efforts, we underscore the fact that alcoholism and drug addiction are treatable and preventable illnesses. Behavioral Health & Substance Abuse Care Coordinators

We are currently looking to fill Care Coordinator positions in Hudson, Passaic and Essex Counties. The Care Coordinator provides assessments, patient placement, case management and cross systems coordination for WFNJ recipients whose substance abuse or mental health disorders pose a barrier to participation in work activities.  Requires a Master's degree in counseling, social work or related field. LPC/LCSW required or documented evidence that this license will be obtained within six months. LCADC strongly preferred. At least two years of experience working with this population is required.  Candidates must have extensive applied knowledge of the DSM and the ASAM-PPC-2R.  EOE M/F/D/V

Assistant Care Coordinator

We are looking to fill an administrative support position in Newark, NJ. The Assistant Care Coordinator is responsible for processing referrals, arranging assessment schedules, coordinating services, answering phones and performing administrative tasks in the office. Candidates must have strong clerical and computer skills, the ability to multitask, be able to manage complex schedules, possess a pleasant and professional phone demeanor and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates must also be able to provide coverage at another location. A car is required. A minimum of two years of relevant work is required, preferably in addictions or welfare. EOE M/F/D/V
