September is National Recovery Month!
NCADD-NJ Advocates have a long history of helping and hosting Recovery Month Events in New Jersey. These events are among hundreds of gatherings across the country that will celebrate recovery during the month of September and highlight that recovery is real.
Here are some local events to take a look at!
Saturday, September 10th.
Passaic County Recovery Walk and Celebration – Registration begins at 8:30AM, event is Walk at 10AM, Celebration until 6PM. Walk begins at Hamilton Street Courthouse and ends in Pennington Park, Paterson NJ.
Event is free and open to the public. Come show the reality of recovery and celebrate hope in Passaic County!
Thursday, September 15th
BRAINJACKED A Biological look at Addiction and Recovery, presented by Dr. Lisa Abrams and Drew Assini at Enlightened Solutions, 600 South Odessa, Egg Harbor City NJ. Event is 6-8PM. Saturday September 17th PRO-ACT Recovery Walk is one of the largest recovery walks in the country. Many Nj residents enjoy this rally in Philadelphia every year. More details here https://www.recoverywalks.org/

Wednesday, September 28th Generation Found Movie Screening
The reality of Recovery high schools is presented in the new film by Greg Williams (The Anonymous People) called GENERATION FOUND. NCADD-NJ Advocates are proud to invite you to the South Jersey premier on Wednesday, September 28th, at the Hamilton Commons Stadium 14 (4215 Black Horse Pike) in May’s Landing (7:30PM). Thursday, September 29th Recovery is Real:
A community forum honoring law enforcement and recovering individuals will take place at the Sussex County Community College at 7PM, at the Performing Arts Center (1 College Hill Rd, Newton NJ).
NCADD-NJ Advocates in Sussex County are working to elevate issues relating to addiction and recovery. You are invited to this very special event. The Center for Prevention and Counseling in conjunction with NCADD-NJ is hosting a community forum titled “Recovery is Real” on September 29, 2016 at 7:00pm in the Performing Arts Center of Sussex County Community College. September is National Recovery Month and the purpose of this forum will be to highlight stories of those in recovery from addiction, their supporters and family, and honor Sussex County Law Enforcement that are working to help tackle this growing epidemic in our communities.
