Ron "Blue" Bowman named as NCADD-NJ's first honorary Advocacy Leader.

Ron "Blue" Bowman tragically lost his life in late August 2010 in his Cumberland County Community. For the first time, the Advocacy Leadership program has named an honorary leader to its leadership program. Ron Bowman was well known in his community helping youth and people with addictions to find recovery in their lives. The recovery advocacy movement here in New Jersey lost a strong advocate to a tragic death. His tireless efforts will be missed but his accomplishments will ensure his memory lives on.Some of Ron's Achievements include:
* Key Advocate for "Youth to Youth" program, and the Bridgeton Community
* Co founded a support/advocacy group called Ambassadors For Christ over 20 years ago
* Worked as a crisis intervention trainer at Ranch Hope, a facility for troubled students
* Inducted into the Cumberland County Black Hall of Fame in 2007. Served as President and Vice President of the Bridgeton Main Street Association

The Honorary certificate was presented by Wayne Wirta, NCADD-NJ President and CEO, to 2008 Leader Karen Barnett and 2010 Leadership class member Michael Williams (who was also a co founder of Ambassadors for Christ), to bring back to the Bridgeton community.
