The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD)-New Jersey promotes the prevention and treatment of, and recovery from, alcoholism and drug addiction through advocacy and education. We support the recovery of alcoholics, drug addicted individuals and their families and work to reduce the stigma surrounding the diseases of alcoholism and drug addiction. The agency formulates public policy initiatives and advocates for legislation and regulations that are in keeping with a public health approach to the diseases of alcoholism and drug addiction. In our public information efforts, we underscore the fact that alcoholism and drug addiction are treatable and preventable illnesses. Assistant Care Coordinator-Clifton, NJ 

The Assistant Care Coordinator is responsible for processing referrals, arranging assessment schedules, coordinating services and performing administrative tasks in the regional office and in the field under the direction of the Lead Assistant Care Coordinator. This position is located in Clifton, NJ.

Must possess basic clerical skills and computer skills, including MS Word, Excel and familiarity with the Internet, ability to manage complex schedules, has a thorough understanding and commitment of the 12-Step model of recovery, high school diploma or equivalent, and driver’s license. A minimum of 2 years work or volunteer service in the addictions field is preferred. Office experience is required. Bilingual Spanish a plus.

Behavioral Health & Substance Abuse Care Coordinators-Atlantic/Cape May, Bergen, Cumberland and Gloucester/Salem Counties

The Care Coordinator conducts behavioral health and substance abuse assessments and treatment referrals.

Must hold a master's in counseling, social work or related field. LPC, LCADC or LCSW with co-occuring experience strongly preferred or documented evidence that a license will be obtained in the next year. Should have at least two years experience in treating substance use and mental health disorders and extensive applied knowledge of The ASAM Criteria, 3rd Ed. and the DSM 5.

Human Resources Assistant-PT (position is on hold)

NCADD-NJ has a part time position located in Robbinsville, NJ. Must have at least one year of experience in a Human Resources Department. Must be able to work between 18-22 hours per week, no weekends or evenings. Duties include assisting with the onboarding process, open enrollment, special projects and providing general administrative assistance to the HR Manager. Must have basic knowledge of principles and procedures of human resources administration and applicable state and federal laws. Must have good planning and organizational skills. Must practice confidentiality, tact and discretion when dealing with people. If you are looking for a casual and laid back office environment, this might just be the perfect fit.
